Learning Without Limits | This Is Doral College
Every student has a different story.
For some, college is a dream their family has never had the opportunity to experience. For others, it is a chance to get ahead, build a career, support their family, or accomplish something they once thought was out of reach.
For more than a decade, Doral College has been a part of those stories.
A new video feature brings together the voices of students, alumni, educators, and faculty whose journeys reflect what Doral College was created to do: make higher education more accessible and give students the opportunity to begin building their futures, wherever they are.
Those opportunities look different for every student.
For Matej Dimovski, the oldest child in a family that had never attended college, it meant making the most of every opportunity placed in front of him. At just 17 years old, he is now headed to the University of Florida to study industrial engineering.
For Arlenis Barrios, it began as a student in one of Doral College’s earliest dual enrollment cohorts. Years later, the opportunity she received helped shape a path that led her to become a nurse practitioner at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
“I think it was the foundation that I needed,” Barrios shared. “I don’t think I would be where I am today if it wasn’t for Doral College.”
Their journeys may be different, but they share something powerful: an opportunity that opened a door.
Through dual enrollment, students can begin earning college credits while still in high school, challenge themselves academically, and take meaningful steps toward their future earlier. Along the way, Doral College families have saved more than $9 million in tuition.
And as Doral College has grown, so have the opportunities available to its students.
Today, that mission extends beyond dual enrollment through the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with ESOL and Reading Endorsement, Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and Master of Education in Educational Leadership.
Through flexible, fully online programs, students and working professionals can continue their education while balancing careers, families, classrooms, and the responsibilities of everyday life.
But behind every college credit earned and every degree awarded is more than an academic accomplishment. There is a student who took a chance on themselves, a family celebrating alongside them, and a future that may look different because an opportunity became possible.
From its earliest dual enrollment students to the graduates building careers and continuing their education today, Doral College’s story has always been about more than earning a degree.
It is about opening doors, creating possibilities, and giving students a place to start, then watching just how far they can go.
