Library Information and Resources Network (LIRN)
Doral College maintains a sizable collection of Electronic Resources provided through The Library and Information Resources Network (LIRN).
The Doral College Library serves the students and faculty of Doral College by providing access to collections and resources in support of the College’s educational mission. The Doral College Library is committed to meeting the diverse needs of its students by guiding learning and discovery of information resources through personal instruction and faculty collaboration. Doral College maintains subscriptions to databases of online publications, articles, and books which can all be accessed electronically via LIRN which can be accessed through Canvas. There is no charge to students for use of this service.
Finding Articles
In order to facilitate research, Doral College Library has made available leading e-journal databases which collect thousands of scholarly journals on a variety of subjects. These resources are available remotely to all current Doral College students, faculty and administrators. For assistance with accessing these resources or for general help with research please contact the library helpdesk.
How to Access
LIRN can be directly accessed through Canvas. Each course has a direct link available in a folder titled “Learning Resources”.

Browsing LIRN
Querying across vendors using our federated search service, LIRNSearch, which searches across all available materials to provide results.
The default view for resources is the Subject view. This view can be changed view by clicking on one of the other tabs (alphabetical, simple, vendor).
Search Results
The federated search feature displays results that may or may not have full articles available. If the article is available it will display a link to the full text in the search results. If you find a resource that Doral College does not currently have available please contact a librarian at the library helpdesk to see other availability options.
Help Desk
- Technical Support helpdesk: Use this help desk if you are having difficulties with your MyDoral account (SIS) or within your online courses. For best results, include as much information as possible in your ticket submission.
- Student Affairs helpdesk: Use this help desk if you have questions regarding admissions or any student affairs-related matter. This includes registration, transfer of credits, degree audits, student activities, and/or transcript requests.
- Library helpdesk: Use this help desk if you have questions regarding research or accessing DC’s library resources.
Online Tutoring
Doral College offers 24/7 online tutoring through TutorMe, a service delivering quality, on-demand feedback from experienced tutors. This extensive online tutoring service is available to all enrolled students, free of charge. Students may select from various options including drop-in tutoring, scheduled tutoring, and email questions. Additionally, students may use the writing center to receive targeted feedback on an essay or paper. Students can submit writing samples for review, meet with tutors, or utilize a vast depository of resources. Links to TutorMe appear in each live Canvas section for easy navigation.
Additional Support
An Academic Advisor is available at each affiliated high school from which the College enrolls students. Advisors can assist with registration-related issues, and can connect students to additional support from Student Services, if necessary.
