Dual enrollment graduates, top students treated to stellar night at DC’s Silver Soiree
Last month, DC’s 2023 dual enrollment graduates enjoyed a glamorous night of good food, colorful fun, and great entertainment at its Silver Soiree. The dazzling event was held at partner school Mater Brickell Academy in its signature white gym, transformed in navy blue and silver for the event. Select top students from partner schools were also in attendance, joined by partner administrators and advisors, who gathered to celebrate their students’ successes.
Guests enjoyed delicious hor d'oeuvres and a pasta bar dinner. Later in the night, the crowd danced unreservedly to the carefully curated sounds of DJ Zog against the backdrop of the Miami skyline. Students, many of whom will leave home in the coming weeks to pursue continued higher education, clearly enjoyed the well-deserved opportunity to let loose with friends.
The Soiree also commemorated the college’s 10th anniversary. Vice President for Student Affairs Cristina Guerra Romero was honored with an award in recognition of her decade of service to the institution.
Dual enrollment graduates of the Class of 2023 number 350 and represent 27 high schools in eight counties across the state from Jacksonville to Key West. They are the largest group of DC dual enrollment graduates yet, and, no doubt will accomplish great things in the years to come.
