DC Partners With the Doral Leadership Institute to Support Teacher Development

Since Fall of 2021, Doral College has been proud to partner with the Doral Leadership Institute (DLI), a consortium of charter schools in Miami Dade and Pasco counties. This partnership provides teachers at participating schools with professional development opportunities, including options for certification. DC course offerings were developed with state requirements in mind and are designed to equip participants with the tools necessary to thrive as educators. 

The following Doral College programs and course offerings are available through the DC/DLI partnership:

Educator Preparation Institute: State-approved alternate certification pathway that streamlines the initial certification process and provides guidance and support in passing required state exams.

ESOL/Reading/Gifted Endorsement Courses: Sequences of five courses each designed to meet state requirements for teacher endorsement in the state.

Recertification/Enrichment Courses: A variety of courses in the education field, including special education, content and methods courses, classroom management, and others that can be used to fulfill recertification requirements.

DLI participants are not responsible for tuition but should expect to pay for their own materials, such as books. In addition, DLI participants are subject to specific policies and procedures and must abide by these guidelines to succeed in their endeavors.
